- Speed up boot time of Windows 7
Booting a short time would be nice. Speed up Windows 7 boot time by increasing the number of processor my friend who works at boot time, because by default the processor that works only one fruit. The steps are:
- Click Start (Windows logo) and type msconfig in the Search box and program files. Click on emerging applications or just press Enter.
- Select the Boot tab and click Advance options ...
- In the new window that appears, check the radio Number of processors, then select the desired number. 2 processor is very good, but it could have been my friend chose the higher numbers correspond to the number of cores (4 or 8).
- Click OK and Apply. This setting will take effect after the computer is restarted.
- Reduce the StartUp program that works on Windows 7 improve the performance of windows 7
Aplikasi that works on Windows StartUp will be run automatically when the computer starts up. That means the computer needs additional time to open such programs in the background. Though not all applications are used (and some have not been used at all,: D), such as printer tool, photo tools, and so forth. Try to not ever checked, whether the programs contained in the StartUp friend indeed need to be run automatically or not. If not, it's better just removed from the Startup and open it manually if you want to use it.
- To check the Windows StartUp, the way is as follows:
- Klik Start (logo Windows) kemudian pada kotak Search ketikkan msconfig. Tekan Enter.
- Pilih tab Startup. Setelah itu akan tampil daftar program yang berjalan otomatis saat komputer start. Hilangkan tanda centang untuk menonaktifkan program yang tidak perlu.
- Jika telah selesai, klik OK.
- Reducing Visual Effects Windows 7
An attractive appearance and use of special effects is always inversely proportional to performance. They seemed hostile: D. Reduce slightly the effects are less important, especially a large impact on the speed of Windows 7. Among them are such effects:
- Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing
- Enable transparent glass
- Fade or slide menus into view
- etc., :)
Of all, disable the "Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing" is the most recommended, as it will speed up the transfer between one window to another window. Here are the steps:
- Click Start (Windows logo) and then type in the city SystemPropertiesPerformance Search. Click the application that appears, or press Enter.
- On the Visual Effects tab, uncheck Animate windows when minimizing radio and maximizing. Note also the other options. If my friend wanted to eliminate other effects are felt less need to just remove Uncheck it.
- After that click OK.
- Disable Search Index system in Windows 7
Windows 7 will perform indexing on each file contained on the computer. It is intended to speed up the process while we do the searching (search) through Windows Explorer. In fact, very rarely do we use it, because at least we know all of the location of the files stored on our computers. In a sense, very rarely do we have to use the search mode on your own computer.
Indexing process by Windows 7 works every time and put on a number of memory (read: reduced performance). Moreover, this process requires a separate space on the hard drive to store the indexed file. The more files on the computer so the more the storage capacity required. In short, turn off the indexing process will be better.
The steps are as follows:
- Click Start (Windows logo) kamudian type Services.msc in the city of Search. Press Enter.
- In the window that appears, locate the Windows Search (arranged alphabetically).
- Then right click on Windows Search and select Stop or Disable.
- Moving the Font Windows 7 is not used
Fonts installed on the computer generally reach the thousands. The question is, what percentage does the commonly used? Except my friend used to play in CorelDraw or other graphic design applications for business purposes, then surely these fonts are very rarely touched. All of these fonts will load the Windows 7. To optimize performance of Windows 7, move these fonts (unused) from the file system. Steps are as below:
- Open the Control Panel (click Start and select Control Panel, or go through Windows Explorer), then select the Fonts folder.
- Create a new folder to back up or move the fonts are not used.
- Select and move (cut & paste) fonts are not used to back up the new folder is created. No need to be removed, as it may be divulging when needed. To use it, simply copy & paste the desired fonts to the Fonts folder in Control Panel.
- Accelerate the shutdown process of Windows 7
Well, although the process of shuting down Windows 7 is fast enough, it never hurts to make it even faster, so my friend does not have to wait too long before the computer or laptop is completely dead. The trick is:
- Click Start (Windows logo) and then type regedit in the Search box. Press Enter.
- Locate and open HKEY-LOCAL_MACHINE >> SYSTEM >> CurrentControlSet >> Control.
- In the content found on the right side, right-click on WaitToKillServiceTimeOut. Then change the value to be smaller.
- Value the default is 12000 (12 seconds). Decrease the value will speed up the computer shutdown process.
- Click OK or close regedit. Restart the computer to test the changes.
