1. The introduction of Photoshop
Photoshop software is an image editing program used to create, manage and produce an image (image) by means of digital techniques and to effect, so the picture looks different from the original and of high quality. With Adobe Photoshop we can design a variety of appropriate forms of illustration such as: newspapers, tabloid, cover books, brochures and others.

Running Adobe Photoshop there are a few ways:

  1. Through the Start
  2. Click Start, select All Programs, select Adobe, click the Adobe Photoshop 7.0 (eg Photoshop 7.0)
  3. Through Photoshop Shortcut found on the desktop.
  4. Point the pointer to the Photoshop Shortcut, and then double-click
2. Components Of Adobe Photoshop

Title Bar:
Displays the current file name and can be used to move the photoshop window on the desktop.

Menu Bar:
Contains a row of menu which include: File, Edit, Image, Layer, Select, Filter, View, Windows, Help.

Ruler:
Or the so called rulers are useful for determining the position and size of an object.

Status Bar:
This section displays various information about the objects and tools are selected.

Drawing Windows:
Region used as a worksheet to be creative with photos or drawings.

Toolbox:
Components used to provide access to Photoshop commands.

Palette:
This component is used to select and set various parameters.

Sizing Button:
Key sizes are at the top right of the window Potoshop.



3. Create and modify Spreadsheet / Canvas

How: Click the File menu, select New (Ctrl + N), it will exit the New dialog box.


Preset Sizes: To determine the size of the canvas sheet
Width: To determine the width of the image.
Height: To determine the height of the image
Resolution: To determine the desired resolution.
Mode: This form of color choices.

  • RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color, each color has a number of 256.
  • CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) Color consists of 4 colors, 32 bits per pixel. Use this mode if you want to print color images.
  • Bitmap images are composed of 1 bit color (black and white) or also called 1-bit images and has the smallest size.
  • Lab (Lightness, a = from green to red, b = from blue to yellow) are the images that use color to represent the three components. You can use this mode to work dengangambar-gambarPhoto CD. While the Lab Color is a color that is used internally when Photoshop converts the color mode to another one.

Content group: to determine the basic color of the canvas.

SELECTION TOOLS


  1. Marquee TOOLS
    Tools are included in this group is a tool that serves to
    make a selection on the object.
  2. Rectangular Marquee Tool
    Serves as a selection maker, rectangular or square.
  3. Elliptical Marquee Tool
    Serves to make the selection of an ellipse or a circle.
  4. Single Row Marquee Tool
    Serves to make the selection in one row line.
  5. Single Coloumn Marquee Tool
    Serves to make the selection in a single column line.

B. MOVE TOOL
Function to move an object on the current layer elsewhere.


C. Lasso Tool

  1. Lasso Tool
    Serves to make the selection independently.
  2. Polygonal Lasso Tool
    Serves to make the selection freely with a straight line.
  3. Magnetic Lasso Tool
    Serves to make the selection based on color similarity.

D. Magic Wand Tool

Serves to create a free selection based on the similarity of color.
